As you may have noticed, I've been messing around with the format of the site in the last couple of days. I removed the banner, added in some new pages, and changed the colors around a little. I left some questions below for you to answer. Please let me know of what you think of the changes and any other problems you may be having, whether it be load time of the site or a broken link here or there. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I sort of miss the colorful banner.
ReplyDeleteI like the content I've been seeing (and writing - I'm also the LEGO Model of the Day guy who posts here occasionally), but I've found the structure of the site recently to be a bit hazy. Is Richard (Brick Street) still involved? If he isn't, is someone else "in charge" now? How/when did some of the newer features (advertisements, the domain name, inspiration of the day) come about?
I do too, I put it back up. :)
ReplyDeleteRecently, I've taken over a lot of the duties of running the site and making sure there's some sort of new content each day. Richard has been absent lately, though I don't really know why. I've emailed him, but I'm still waiting for a reply back from him.
I put up a lot of the new features that you mentioned back around November.
I really apologize about the "hazy" look to things. I'm trying to find a suitable look to the site, but I'm just not sure how to go about it. I'll stick with one and see how it goes for awhile.

ReplyDelete(A) I like it, its very nice and i like the colors and such. However, I agree about the large logo, and i also think that you should show a picture of cafe corner, as it does say "Inspired by Cafe Corner".

(A) It is, but i think first time visitors may have to read some of the blog before noticing the page tabs (Home, About, ect.)

(A) I like it, of course, but i would say that the inspiration of the day posts should have their own page. Not too incredibly important, but it would help.
I fixed the logo and added an "Inspiration of the Day" page for your convenience.
