somebody know what's hidden under the black towel with the "?". it can be seen at the beginning of the video and is removed at the end . may be the so waited new modular construction....
I just returned from the Chicago Lego store (the one on Mich. Ave). I spoke to a Lego Store employee about the next 'cafe corner' type set. I approached the employee by asking when the new fire station set that is part of the GG & CC line would be released. The employee responded that he/she had seen pictures of the set but did not know when it would be released. The employee went on to say that while the set is primarily a fire station, there is a pizza parlor next to/incorporated into the building.
As we stayed in the Marriott next to the mall, my son and I visited the store three times over the two nights we stayed in Chicago. On the other visits, I asked different employees about the new CC/GG style fire station...however on these attempts, the employees were all clueless.
Hope this information helps a little...at least we know that there is going to be more to the fire station with the pizza parlor!
If someone would like to post this information on the other Lego sites like Eurobricks, etc., that would be helpful as I don't have accounts there. Take it easy. E.
Sounds like the person you spoke to had one of the upcoming town sets in mind. There's a red bus station with a pizza parlor next to it. The bus station being red could have been confused with a fire station by the staff member you spoke to.
Aliencat: Good point, I didn't even think of that set. However, the employee seemed very knowledgeable about the new sets and even mentioned bricklink, eurobricks and some other Lego fan sites.
When the employee mentioned the pizza parlor as part of the set, he/she even commented on how the set is primarily a fire station. Also, when reading the descriptions of this set by "Orlando" on the now deleted blog posts, the description made it sound like there were two 'parts' to the building.
It is a firehouse or a train station (I am now betting train station, due to the release of Emerald Night. I believe the rumored "clock tower" is for a train station) and the open area below the building will allow a train to pass through.
WOW! There is TONS of new PICK A BRICK! Seems like Lego has let loose, almost every piece is available...but what makes you think that the new pieces will make the new firehouse? I see lots of new grey roof pieces angles and corners, RED and WHITE Window frames, firefighter equipment, new dark brown elements LOTS of new Brown elements. AND ARCHES GALORE!!! I Can't Believe it! If anything, the folks at bricklink will be shaking in their boots, there are hundreds of new pieces DOORS, WINDOWS MINIFIG COLORS WOW! Lego has unleashed the parts vault!
ADDING New Baseplates, black visors, and what's with the GIANT round pink piece? It's like $5 bucks! AH and a clock, could this be the "clock" for the clock tower? There are classic castle flags (red, green and pink) and TONS of those tiny mini slops (all colors it look like)...Lots of hinges (finally, they got my letter...) lots of technique bricks, new train parts, an impressive array of tires and rims, new window elements (shutters are back!) Yeah it like Lego has gotten angry at bricklink and decided to unleash the force...
According to someone on the Brothers Brick, it is a sort of glitch. I hope and do not think the prices will end up that high. Come on, 3x the price of a 2x2 for a 1x2? I don't think that's meant to happen.
It can't have a pizza shop because lego set 7641 (City Corner) has a pizza shop inside of it. Also, it only has 600 hundred pieces so it may have something else in it. They would not hae two sets with pizza shop in them.

ReplyDeleteWell, it is right next to green grocer, so maybe it's the new modular building set!

ReplyDeleteAnd it looks bigger than the previously released buildings.
But isn't a fire station-pizza parlor combination weird?

ReplyDeleteI think it will be a bank. They have not had many sets with banks in the past. Plus it would add to the previous sets.
ReplyDeleteHe's got big balls. She's got big Balls. But i have the biggest balls of them all.
