Happy Birthday Minifigs
Monday 25th August 2008
The minifigure is 30 today - many happy returns. They'll be partying in the Cafe Corner tonight no doubt.
See lego.com for a cool celebration movie clip.

Hospital
Had a go at a tall building this afternoon. I had a go at two others as well - but the battery went on my camera before I could take a pic.
Was really excited this morning to see the 2009 sets. I think however that TLC will be extremely annoyed that they have been leaked. We do not usually get to see sets until the toy fairs.
From my point of view seeing the pictures early doesn't spoil it for me, it makes me want them even more. Gives me a chance to save up (or increase the amount I can put on the credit card).
Richard.

Loft Update - Still Not Finished!
Most of the time spent in the loft has been moving all of the display tables and constructing more - I think they are in their final places now. I have also roughly painted the end wall white and put better covering over the roof. Here's what it looks like today. I have not put many vehicles or minifigs in yet as I'm still playing about with placing models. I'm especially pleased I've managed to get my RC train to go all the way around the layout without being too intrusive (this has been my main worry and the reason why my original ideas for layout were at different levels. The raised levels on this layout are complete apart from where the Mountain Castle Theme Park is and the countryside where I intend to have smaller hills, streams, waterfalls etc. The other thing I've been spending time on is sorting bricks. This (as you know) takes hours and hours, but I feel I'm in an excellent place now to MOC with some speed. Watch this space. Richard.
Huge Thank You
Just want to say a huge thank you to all the people that replied to this post.
It was really good to hear from Cafe Corner fans from all over the world... And some down the road (Rima and Foobie).
Legocrazy - in answer to your question - Yes, that is Jamie Berrard and if you want to ask him something, why not try here first. This Blog is as good a place as any. You may like to look at this post too and this one (and the comment message). I think I posted your cafe picture in April, but its gone now... I do not have an mln account yet. I'm really looking forward to entering The LEGO Universe though. I'm sure I'll be seeing lots of you in there aswell.
Cheers Richard.
